His practice covers local authority law and governance (eg powers, delegations, decision-making and constitutions) and Information Law (principally Freedom of Information, Data Protection and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004).
Damien came to the Bar in 2001 after a career in local government.
Damien was a Specialist Contributing Editor on Local Government to Jowitt’s Dictionary of English Law (3rd edition, 2010). He has contributed a number of articles on local government matters to the online legal encyclopaedia “Westlaw UK Insight”, launched in December 2012.
