Hugh specialises in public, planning and environment, and property law. His practice spans public and private law and he acts for and against a wide range of public authorities. He has appeared in courts, inquiries and tribunals up to the Court of Appeal. Hugh was ranked 12th in Planning Magazine’s 2012 survey of top rated planning barristers under the age of 35.
In 2010-11 Hugh was a Judicial Assistant in the UK Supreme Court.
