Who we are
As a set of Chambers, we have an admirable, and loyal, list of clients. Our clients come from a wide range of areas including local authorities, landowners, developers, public and private utilities, government departments, amenity groups and individuals. Although our clients have a diverse range of requirements from us, many of them also require assistance with employment-related matters.
What we do
We regularly advise both applicants and respondents in all aspects of employment law and provide representation in Employment Tribunals, the EAT and the Court of Appeal. Our work covers all forms of discrimination, breach of confidence, restrictive covenants and all other contractual issues, the impact of European Directives on employment issues and TUPE issues.
Given our clientele, we have a particular understanding of employment issues affecting local authority employers. However, the expertise we have developed in this area, and understanding of procedural issues, allows us to act for either side in an employment dispute.
Members of Chambers also speak at conferences on the subject: an example of this was a recent joint conference with a firm of solicitors on the impact of the disability discrimination legislation. (Click here for full article)
