Steven Gasztowicz QC

Steven Gasztowicz QC undertakes both professional negligence and disciplinary work.

He has experience of professional negligence/disciplinary cases relating to, amongst others, solicitors, barristers, surveyors, and accountants.

In relation to surveyors and lawyers, this includes negligence in relation to the conduct of planning matters.

He has also appeared in police disciplinary proceedings, in clinical negligence cases, and before more unusual tribunals, such as the Reserve Forces Appeals Tribunal, and the Specialist Training Authority of the Royal Medical Colleges.

He is a member of the Professional Negligence Bar Association, and is assisted by his associated knowledge and experience of contractual matters, land law, local government, and other fields which the underlying issues in negligence or disciplinary proceedings may involve.

He is also willing to undertake inquiries into conduct and similar matters. He sits as a Recorder dealing with criminal matters in the Crown Court, and on the Joint Tribunal of the Law Society and Bar Council, and also has experience of sitting as a legal assessor for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
