Members of Chambers were at the event to celebrate Anthony Scrivener QC receiving a lifetime achievement award.

We are also delighted that Mary Cook won the Environment/Planning Junior of the Year award for the second time. Mary had won this previously in 2006.

We are delighted to be able to announce that we have two reasons to be pleased about the contents of this year’s ceremony which is to be held at the Grosvenor Square Hotel on 25 September.

  • Anthony Scrivener QC will be presented with a lifetime achievement award: something we all feel is very well deserved.
  • Mary Cook has been nominated again for the award she won in 2006:
    Environment/Planning: Junior of the Year

The third annual Conference was held at Aberystwyth University.

Anthony Porten QC was invited to speak at the Conference and gave two papers:

  1.  A case review: Neath Port Talbot CBC v. Linda Ware
  2. ‘Defining personal and prejudicial interests: learning from the English Experience.’

The other speakers at the Conference were Sir Christopher Kelly, Chair of the Committee on Standards in Public Life; Mr Peter Davies, President of the Adjudication Panel for Wales; and Mr Peter Tyndall, Public Services Ombudsman for Wales.
