Cornerstone Win Care Act National Training Tender

Cornerstone is delighted to announce that it has been has been asked by the Local Government Association to provide its national training to adult social care solicitors on Part 1 of the Care Act 2014.

The award was made following a fiercely competitive tendering exercise. The Act has been described by the RT Hon Norman Lamb MP, Minister of State for Care and Support as “the most significant reform of care and support in more than 60 years”, it provides a codification of adult social care law in a single document, and is liable to have a significant impact on the work and decision making of local authorities and of individual social workers.

Training will be provided throughout February and March 2015 in each of the 9 Local Government Association regions by teams of 3 members of chambers from among a 12 strong pool of specialists. Part 1 comes into force on 1st April 2015.
