Dr Ashley Bowes will this week be presenting a paper (with George Laurence QC and Simon Adamyk of New Square Chambers) to the Modern Studies in Property Law Conference at St Johns College, Oxford.
The paper Acquiring public rights over land held for statutory purposes analyses, among other cases, the recent Supreme Court case in which Ashley represented the Respondent (R (NHS Property Services Ltd) v Jones [2019] UKSC 58.
The keynote lectures at the conference will be delivered by Lord Sales JSC (Justice of the Supreme Court), Prof Jeremy Waldron (New York University) and Prof Sarah Green (Law Commission for England and Wales).
