Julian Hawes Appointed as Senior Clerk at Cornerstone Barristers

Cornerstone Barristers is delighted to announce the appointment of Julian Hawes as its new Senior Clerk.

Julian brings with him a wealth of experience in clerking and business development, making him an invaluable addition to Chambers’ senior management team.

Julian joins Cornerstone Barristers following a successful tenure as Director of Business Development at the International Arbitration Centre (IAC), where he played a pivotal role in revitalising the organisation and transforming it into a thriving hub for arbitration. His leadership was instrumental in overcoming challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and establishing the IAC as a key player in the dispute resolution sector.

Prior to his role at the IAC, Julian served as Joint Senior Clerk at Brick Court Chambers for over 20 years, where he developed an outstanding reputation for his expertise in clerking, client service, and business strategy. He will begin his tenure at Cornerstone on 10th March 2025.
