Lisa acted for the Secretary of State for Transport in an Inquiry concerning a series of draft Orders made under the Highways Act 1980 and Acquisition of Land Act 1981 comprising a scheme for the de-trunking various highways, stopping up of others, provision of new means of access and compulsory purchase of land for the construction of new trunk road and other purposes.
The Inquiry sat for 18 days over the course of 2011 and 2012, with the Inspector’s report published on 19 October 2012. The Secretary of State’s decision was issued on 3 June 2013, and the Orders duly made thereafter.
