The Cornerstone Housing Team will be hosting a series of seminars throughout 2016 designed to keep you up to date on major legal developments in the social housing sector.

26th February 2016: Selective/additional Licensing and HMOs Venue: 3 Grays Inn, London / CPD: 3 This seminar, aimed at local authorities and private landlords, will provide training on additional and selective licensing, its legal framework, the pitfalls and lessons to be learned from the courts. 12th April 2016: Homelessness Update Venue: 3 Grays Inn, London / CPD: 3 This seminar will consider the impact of turning point case Hotak one year on, priority need and intentionality. Further details to follow.

8th June 2016: Housing Update Venue: TBC / CPD: 3 This seminar will provide a timely update on key social housing issues including fixed term and flexible tenancies, and what the Housing & Planning Bill means for practitioners. Further details to follow.

7th September 2016: Hoarding and Capacity Venue: TBC / CPD: 3 This seminar will look at how practitioners can handle hoarding and capacity problems and associated mental health and equality issues. Further details to follow.

4th October 2016: Cornerstone Annual Housing Conference Venue: Gray’s Inn, London / CPD: 3 Our annual conference provides local authorities, housing associations and social housing consultants with a thorough analysis of housing policy and strategy developments, including practical advice on a wide range of housing law issues. 30th November 2016: ASB: Two Years On Venue: 3 Gray’s Inn, London / CPD: 3 This seminar will consider the impact of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime & Policing Act 2014 two years after it was introduced. Further details to follow.
