In a reserved judgment handed down on 10th February 2015 a declaration was granted to the Council in relation to a public right of way. Acknowledging that the definitive map did not define the width of the way, the decision was based on evidence dating back to 1835, including conveyances and Finance Act maps. Undertakings were in consequence required to remove obstructions, and counterclaims were dismissed, ending a dispute going back many years. Steven Gasztowicz QC represented the Council, together with Jack Parker.
