First-tier Tribunal considers supported accommodation scheme in 7 day trial

Jeremy Ogilvie-Harris is representing Nottingham City Council in a seven-day housing benefit appeal in the First-tier Tribunal starting on 2 February 2026.
The Tribunal will be considering whether a housing association is “not for profit”, or whether it has been set up to make secret or disguised profits for property developers and companies affiliated with them.
This is a complex trial raising issues of governance, property ownership and financial transactions between organisations.
Jeremy has extensive experience in housing and benefits having worked at the Hackney Community Law Centre (‘HCLC’) prior to becoming a barrister.
