Local Government Lawyer – Book Review: Cornerstone on Councillors’ Conduct

Public Law and Judicial Review

Local Government Lawyer has published a review of Cornerstone on Councillors’ Conduct; a practical guide for all those involved in local government, including officers, councillors,  monitoring officers and lawyers.

The review by Nicholas Dobson, a Consultant with Freeths LLP, comments that the guide “skilfully navigates its way through the dense and dangerous jungle of intervening statutory, guidance, caselaw and other foliage from the former Standards Board regime (following the Donnygate scandal) to the present slimmed-down but imperfect present.”
