Nina Pindham to speak at global symposium on human rights, sustainable development and the law
Cornerstone Barristers’ Nina Pindham, Chair of the UK Environmental Law Association and a CISDL Fellow, will be speaking at the Human Rights, Sustainable Development & the Law – Global Online Symposium 2026 on Friday 10 July 2026.
Bringing together leading judges, policymakers, academics and legal practitioners from around the world, the symposium will explore how international law can respond to climate change, strengthen human rights protections and accelerate progress towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Nina will join the Global Experts Plenary on Realising Indigenous Rights, Intergenerational Justice and Rights of Nature, where she will discuss the role of international legal practice in advancing the recognition of the rights of nature, drawing on her experience in environmental and planning law and international climate and biodiversity initiatives.
The event is hosted online by the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law (CISDL) and the McGill Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism.
