Alex Williams helps enable new Vidal Sassoon Training Academy
The Vidal Sassoon Academy is due to launch a new world-class training facility, House of Sassoon, at the former site of the Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design in Greek Street, Soho. House of Sassoon will combine the delivery of training to the next generation of hairstylists with the provision of services to paying customers.
As part of the venture, the developer, VS Salons UK Ltd, applied for a lawful development certificate from Westminster City Council. The Council certified that the proposed use would be lawful on the basis of the previous educational use of the site by Condé Nast, and would not require planning permission in its own right.
The Council granted the application having considered a legal opinion from Alex Williams, acting for the developer and instructed by Richard Quelch at Q Square.
