Andrew Lane to speak at national tenancy fraud conference
Public Law and Judicial Review, Housing, Local Government
Andrew Lane, joint head of Cornerstone Barristers Public Law Team, will speak at the annual conference of the Tenancy Fraud Forum on Wednesday 15th May 2024.
Andrew is, of course, no stranger to the housing fraud field, having written ‘Cornerstone on Social Housing Fraud’, now in its 2nd edition, and acted for many social landlords in their efforts to combat and prosecute housing fraud.
Andy has spoken in previous years at this conference and will be speaking this time on the subject of obtaining evidence from third parties. He is joined at the conference by many excellent speakers from the legal, social housing and investigation sectors, and says: “This is one of my favourite conferences of the year focusing on one of my favourite areas of housing law. The Tenancy Fraud Forum has been at the forefront of identifying and highlighting the true extent of fraud in the sector, the costs caused to social landlords and the reactive and proactive steps that can be taken in tackling this issue”.
