Anti-social behaviour free zones – tackling drinking and other issues in public spaces

One of the UK leading experts of Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs), Kuljit Bhogal has produced a useful summary explaining what local authorities can do when they intend to create a PSPO and what it can cover. In particular, she discussed what a town centre PSPO could cover and what the test for making a PSPO is.
In August 2019, Kuljit was in the Court of Appeal in the first case to consider PSPOs. The case concerns a PSPO which restricts protests outside an abortion clinic. Ranjit Bhose QC and Tara O’Leary were also involved.
