Cornerstone Barristers welcomes Jemima Lovatt as a new tenant

Cornerstone Barristers is delighted to announce that Jemima Lovatt has joined chambers as a tenant.
Jemima has a growing practice across public, environmental, planning and regulatory law, acting for private clients, government departments, regulators, NGOs and community groups. She has appeared before the High Court, Crown Court, Coroner’s Court and magistrates’ courts, and has experience spanning judicial review, regulatory enforcement and environmental litigation.
Her recent work includes acting in significant judicial review proceedings, advising on complex planning and environmental disputes, representing regulators including the Care Quality Commission and the Health and Safety Executive, and appearing successfully before the High Court and specialist tribunals.
Jemima has a particular interest in environmental and climate litigation. She is a Churchill Fellow undertaking research into climate change litigation, regularly publishes on environmental law, serves as Secretary of the Planning and Environment Bar Association, and is an active member of the UK Environmental Law Association.
Called to the Bar in 2020 as a Lord Denning Scholar at Lincoln’s Inn, Jemima holds an LLM in Environmental Law and Policy from University College London. Before coming to the Bar, she worked in legal policy, the charity sector and social enterprise.
