Cornerstone Barristers welcomes new associate tenant Professor David Kershaw

We are thrilled to welcome Professor David Kershaw to Cornerstone Barristers. David joins us as an associate tenant specialising in Corporate Law. He is a qualified UK Solicitor and is admitted to the New York Bar. He also has a rich academic career as Lecturer and Professor of Law at a range of UK Universities.

Currently the Dean and Professor of Law at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) Law School and the General Editor of the Modern Law Review, David has been practising and teaching Corporate Law for 20 years. He holds a LLM and SJD from Harvard Law School and a LLB from the University of Warwick.

David had published widely in the fields of UK and US corporate law and takeover law and regulation. Recent work has focused on the evolution of corporate fiduciary law, the relationship between corporate governance rules and performance in financial institutions, and the meaning and regulation of corporate purpose. He is also the author of several books: The Foundations of Anglo-American Corporate Fiduciary Law (2018, Cambridge University Press), The Principles of Takeover Regulation (Oxford University Press, 2016) and Company Law in Context: Text and Materials (June 2012, 2nd eds, Oxford University Press).
