DCO examination begins for major 500MW Solar Farm

The hearings into the examination of the East Pye Solar Farm Development Consent Order (DCO) begin this week. Ruchi Parekh and Lois Lane are instructed on behalf of South Norfolk Council as host authority. The applicant seeks consent for a 500MW solar farm, one of the largest proposals in the UK.
The examination is set to consider a broad range of issues, including:
- national policy
- alternatives
- heritage
- landscape
- ecology
- cumulative effects in light of other plans and projects in the area.
