Matt Hutchings KC presents “fierce defence” of women’s football academy

Matt Hutchings KC was in action in the High Court last week, defending a decision by the London Borough of Enfield to enter into an agreement to lease part of Whitewebbs Park to Tottenham Hotspur FC for a women’s and girls’ football academy.
The judicial review concerns London boroughs’ powers to dispose of open space held under a statutory trust.
His submissions on Wednesday were recorded in the local press (with customary typos). Judgment has been reserved by the newly appointed Mould J.
