Monmouthshire County Council upholds permission for superstore
01 Jan 2018
Public Law and Judicial Review
Richard Ground appeared for Monmouthshire County Council in successfully defending their decision to grant planning permission for demolition of an existing cattle market and construction of a Morrisons superstore and new library in Abergavenny. The challenge was heard over four days in conjunction with a related challenge to the Welsh Ministers’ decision to repeal a Victorian statute requiring the provision of a livestock market in Abergavenny. This challenge, in which Monmouthshire appeared as an interested party, was also dismissed.
