Sam Fowles speaks on media representation of Muslims and Islam

Cornerstone’s Sam Fowles spoke at a roundtable on the media’s use of terminology relating to Islam and Muslims. The event was hosted by the Centre for Media Monitoring and Sam spoke at the Centre’s invitation. Sam’s presentation focused on the duties flowing from the Equality Act 2010 and the duties of regulators flowing from the European Convention on Human Rights and the 2010 Act.

Sam is a member of Cornerstone’s Public Law team and has a particular interest in religious freedom and freedom of expression. He is an expert in human rights and equality law and a member of the Equality and Human Rights Commission panel of counsel.
