The four-week examination into the West Suffolk Local Plan opened this week. Ruchi Parekh is representing the Council in promoting its first local plan since the reorganisation of the former Forest Heath and St Edmundsbury authorities. The examination hearings are set to consider a number of important issues ranging from housing supply to the horseracing industry (Newmarket) and habitat protection (including the Breckland SPA).
