Licensing

Uber London Limited has – this morning – won its appeal against Transport for London’s November 2019 decision to refuse it a London PHV operator’s licence.

In a reserved judgment, following a three day hearing two weeks ago, Deputy Senior District Judge Tanweer Ikram concluded that Uber London Limited is a fit and proper person to hold such a licence.

Cornerstone’s licensing specialist Ranjit Bhose QC again represented Uber, as he did in 2018’s successful appeal. On this occasion he appeared alongside Tim Ward QC of Monckton Chambers and James McClelland of Brick Court.

Ranjit was again instructed by Charles Brasted of Hogan Lovells International LLP
