Elliot Langdorf

Elliot was appointed Senior Clerk in April 2018. He has overall responsibility for developing client relationships and client service while overseeing the practices of all members of Chambers.

Clients and barristers regard Elliot highly for the high standards of service he provides. This is due to his deep knowledge of Chambers' practice areas and his professional, positive, leadership of our clerking teams.

Clients also respect his judgement and advice when they are selecting counsel.

He joined Cornerstone Barristers as a clerk in September 2012 after 13 years at a leading Public, Planning and Commercial Chambers.

Sam Collins

Sam joined Chambers in August 2016, following eight years at one of the country's largest sets, working in both London and Birmingham over this time. Sam started his career in clerking shortly after graduating from the University of Sheffield. He has also completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the BTEC in Chambers Administration.

Whilst managing the practices of all members of Chambers, Sam is directly responsible for his own team of barristers. He is assisted by Justin Callaghan and Naomi Bridge. Sam's tasks include the development and administration of members' practices, fee negotiations and diary management.

Daniel Gatt

Daniel is known for his approachable, enthusiastic and 'can do' attitude with clients which reflects the professional, friendly service he provides.

His extensive experience in managing both more junior clerks and barristers ensures that he is best placed to lead his own team within Chambers. He is assisted by Alex Hill, George Regan and Chelsea Thomas. Daniel's tasks include the development and administration of members' practices, fee negotiations and diary management.

He joined Chambers in February 2018, following sixteen years at one of the oldest and largest sets at the bar.

Daniel is singled out by The Legal 500  as "exceptional". They say they "have never come across a clerk more committed, reliable, and passionate about either his chambers or the instructing solicitors".

Justin Callaghan

Justin commenced his clerking career in 2008 and has been at Cornerstone Barristers since 2012.

Justin is an integral part of the clerking team and whilst managing the practices of all members of Chambers, he is responsible for the day to day clerking of approximately 12 members. His tasks include the development and administration of members' practices, fee negotiations, allocation of work and diary management. He attends client events and leads the Junior Development programme at Cornerstone.

In his spare time, he enjoys working as a car mechanic.

Alex Hill

Alex has recently been appointed as Administrative Services Clerk.

Alex's core responsibility is to enable Chambers to provide our clients with an excellent service. His role centres around providing an effective billing process, more direct support for the barristers in managing their workloads whilst assisting the Senior Clerk, Team Leaders and the Chief Executive on various projects.

He also liaises closely with the fees team and manages the mini-pupils during their time in Chambers.

Alex joined Chambers in 2008. Outside of work, Alex enjoys travelling and spending time with his wife and daughters.

George Regan

George's main role in Chambers is to assist Team Leader Daniel Gatt with the effective running of a team of 27 barristers. His duties include everything from diary management and allocating new instructions to fee negotiations and attending marketing events.

He joined Chambers in May 2016 following 3 years at a leading commercial law set.

Chelsea Thomas

Chelsea Thomas joined Cornerstone Barristers in September as an Administration Officer on a twelve month apprenticeship, administered by the charity Step Forward. As part of her apprenticeship, Chelsea undertook a level 4 diploma in business support services.

Grant James

Grant joined the team in August 2018 as a junior clerk after working for the family business and briefly in recruitment. His duties include assisting barristers and clerks, diary management, court runs and administrative tasks.

Outside of work he is a West Ham season ticket holder.
