Cornerstone Barristers Appoints New Joint Heads of Chambers

Cornerstone Barristers is delighted to announce the appointment of James Findlay KC and Robin Green as Joint Heads of Chambers, effective from 23 July 2025.
This new leadership marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for Chambers, following the end of Philip Coppel KC and Tom Cosgrove KC’s successful second term. Under their guidance, Cornerstone has flourished as one of the UK’s foremost planning, public law and housing sets, expanding its breadth of expertise and reinforcing its reputation for legal excellence.

Over the past few years, Cornerstone Barristers has experienced a period of exceptional growth, with its membership now exceeding 60 barristers (15 of whom are in silk and 12 are on the Attorney General’s panel), who are frequently involved in the leading cases of the day.
In recent years members have been recognised with top honours, including The Lawyer’s Barrister of the Year Award and Chambers and Partners’ Planning/Environment Silk of the Year. The set has also hosted the largest events in its history, through its Planning and Housing Day conferences and a new annual Public Law conference, and achieved a record number of rankings across the leading legal directories, reflecting the outstanding calibre and depth of expertise within Chambers.
