We are delighted to announce that Cornerstone’s Estelle Dehon KC and Ruchi Parekh have been recognised in The Planner’s Women of Influence in 2023 – the sole barristers to feature on the list.

The annual list recognises women who have been influential in and around planning over the past 12 months, as nominated by readers of The Planner with a judging panel that includes distinguished planners from across the UK. Appropriately, the list is published on International Women’s Day.

Estelle is one of the UK’s leading barristers on planning and climate change, including assisting clients on climate-positive infrastructure and development and advising local authorities on net zero planning policy. Her court and public inquiry work is extensive, including, later this year, the first Supreme Court case concerning downstream greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuel development. Estelle took silk in 2022.

Ruchi has a strong planning and environment law practice, with a particular focus on renewable energy infrastructure and climate change. She is regularly instructed by central and local government, developers, NGOs and community groups across the full range of planning, environment and highway matters. Ruchi is ranked as a leading junior in Legal 500 in both planning and environment law.
