Cornerstone Barristers are part of the 10,000 Black Interns programme to offer valuable opportunities to young people

07 Sep 2021

The 10,000 Black Interns programme aims to offer 10,000 internships over five years, across 24 sectors involving 24 companies. Cornerstone Barristers are proud to be a part of this initiative to create valuable opportunities for young Black people and actively work to effect change.

At Cornerstone we believe in equal opportunity and recognise the challenges inherited by young people today when it comes to building a sustainable career. We have joined the #10000BlackInterns programme in order to play our part in making the Bar a profession of equal representation and opportunity. We look forward to welcoming an intern to our Chambers, to learn from our Barristers and build a strong foundation for a future career.

The justice system should be system for all, represented by all.

In addition to offering paid work experience across a wide range of industries, the programme supplies world-class training and development to ensure that the opportunities are effective and bring about sustainable and meaningful change. For more information on the scheme, visit their website.

On the 7th September, the 10,000 Black Interns team will be hosting an interactive launch webinar. The event will cover:

  • The #10000BlackInterns journey, programme and partners
  • An overview of the application process and timelines
