Zoom webinar: Housing Allocation schemes – their review and revision

This one-hour webinar considers the issues facing any local housing authority reviewing its housing allocation scheme.

Presented by Andy Lane, Sarah Salmon and Tara O’Leary, the webinar will cover:

• Consultation requirements
• The role of equality impact assessments
• Common areas and topics to be considered, such as domestic abuse prioritisation and local letting schemes
• The proper treatment of reasonable preference categories

Members of the Housing Team have been involved in advising a number of local authorities on their scheme reviews, and have acted in recent cases such as Z v London Borough of Hackney [2020] 1 W.L.R. 4327, R (Montero) v London Borough of Lewisham [2021] P.T.S.R. 1725 and R (Milton Laines Roman) v London Borough of Southwark [2022] EWHC 1232 (Admin).
