Examination opens into National Grid’s Norwich to Tilbury DCO

The six-month examination into National Grid’s Norwich to Tilbury Development Consent Order begins today. The project involves building a new 180 kilometre, 400 kilovolt electricity transmission connection. The proposals form part of National Grid’s Great Grid Upgrade, a £30bn nationwide transformation to scale up the grid.
Four members of Cornerstone Barristers are instructed: Michael Bedford KC acts for Suffolk County Council; Estelle Dehon KC and Emma Dring act for Essex County Council; and Ruchi Parekh acts for Norfolk County Council.
