Gerard spoke at the ASEAN Responsible Business Forum on anti-corruption initiatives in both the public and private sectors in Singapore on  27 August. You can find the programme here.

In his speech, Gerard stressed the inevitable link between issues of corruption and climate change – for instance in relation to deforestation and water pollution and that the extraterritorial powers of the UK bribery act could be utilised in the battle.

This would be even more effective if other countries introduced similar provisions into their domestic legislation coupled with greater cooperation and communication between countries.
