Wayne Beglan acted for the London Borough of Hackney in achieving an emergency High Court Junction to remove an art installation that was labelled by the Council as a ‘flagrant and harmful breach of planning control’. The installation, known as ‘Sharks!’ had been partially completed at Hoxton Docks, but will now be removed. The detailed judgment of Mr Justice Murray deals with a number of issues often bearing on applications of this kind. A final hearing will take place later this year.
