Lois Lane to speak at Franco-British Lawyers Society annual colloquium
Cornerstone Climate, Planning and Environment
On Friday 11 October 2024, Lois Lane will speak at the Franco-British Lawyers Society annual colloquium taking place at the University of Cardiff. The overall theme of this year’s conference is sustainability, with panels on four sub-topics: environmental, social, corporate governance and dispute resolution.
Lois will join a panel on ‘Environmental Sustainability – Climate Change Risk, Pollution and Renewable Energies’, chaired by Lord Hodge (justice of the Supreme Court), alongside panellists Katie-Scarlett Wetherall (Lawyer at ClientEarth) and Keith Davidson (Partner at Irwin Mitchell). Her talk will focus on current trends in climate litigation in the United Kingdom and internationally, and what the types of cases being brought before the courts tell us about climate change risk more broadly.
Lois has a growing planning and environmental practice, with a particular interest in claimant environmental work. Learn more about her practice here.
