Making an application for tenancy

Applications should be made by letter and CV. These should be sent to the CEO. Please also complete and attach our Equal Opportunities Monitoring Questionnaire. This is used for monitoring purposes only and will not be used as part of our selection process.

The letter should set out:

  • The nature of your current practice
  • Why you wish to join Cornerstone Barristers
  • Why Cornerstone Barristers would benefit from your membership
  • A printout of your last two years of fees and future diary commitments. These details will be shared only with the Senior Clerk, Heads of Chambers, and the CEO

You may be invited to an informal initial meeting and then to a more formal interview. At the interview, you may be asked to supply at least two examples of recent, anonymous, written work. Applicants who are successful at that stage will be asked to meet further members of Chambers informally.

We are also keen to establish a panel of high-profile and respected Associate members, particularly from the academic world, to enhance the standing and reputation of Chambers as a leading public law set.

If you would like an informal and confidential discussion on any of the above or the opportunity of tenancy at Cornerstone Barristers, please contact our CEO Nadia Biles Davies on 020 7421 1819.
