Ministerial Statement allowing three years supply upheld at inquiry
Appeal Ref: APP/V3120/W/20/3247391
Land north of Appleford Road, Sutton Courtenay, Abingdon OX14 4NG
Following a planning inquiry a planning inspector has upheld the government’s special three-year housing land supply requirement for Oxfordshire’s councils in dismissing a 93-home appeal, despite the appellant arguing that the dispensation should no longer apply because a key element of the growth deal agreement on which it is based had not been met by the county’s authorities. The case involved detailed consideration of housing land supply issues in a post covid world and is of particular interest in relation to the approach taken in relation to the written ministerial statement relating to Oxfordshire Authorities.
Tom Cosgrove QC appeared on behalf of the successful planning authority at the inquiry.
