We are delighted to announce that the Bar Council has granted Cornerstone Barristers its Wellbeing at the Bar Certificate of Recognition.

CEO Clare Bello has said: “We are thrilled. We have worked very hard to create a supporting and caring environment for everyone working in Chambers, barristers and staff members. A wellbeing policy is essential to reduce the risk of mental health issues in the work place and to ensure everyone in Chambers has the tools to face the pressure and stress of modern working life”.

The Bar Council has introduced a Certificate of Recognition as a means of acknowledging the efforts made across the profession to support the wellbeing of barristers, clerks and chambers’ staff.

“Cornerstone Barristers has created a wellbeing strategy based on a clear business case. Building on the basics – a policy, survey and training for two members in Mental Health First Aid – they have gone on to establish their priority with a clear focus on building relationships and collegiality within chambers and now offer an impressive range of activities.” – Wellbeing at the Bar Working Group
