Housing, Property, Public Law and Judicial Review

We are pleased to announce that Dean Underwood of Cornerstone Barristers has been appointed Chair of the Social Housing Law Association, with effect from 1st January 2016.

Dean is a leading junior in housing and public law and a regular conference speaker. He is a founder and committee member of SHLA and has spoken at many SHLA events, including the annual conference and regular members’ meetings.  You can find out more about Dean and his practice here.

Dean succeeds current Chair, Nick Billingham of Devonshires Solicitors, who has guided SHLA successfully over the last three years towards its 10th anniversary in 2015.  Nick will remain involved in SHLA as both a member and dedicated officer of the committee.

As Chair, Dean will be responsible for overseeing the growth and progress of SHLA at a time of widespread legal change and economic austerity. He looks forward to the challenge and to the on-going support of SHLA’s dedicated membership and executive committee.
