Tom Cosgrove QC appointed as a Master of the Bench of the Inner Temple

Tom Cosgrove QC has been elected as a Barrister Governing Bencher of the Inner Temple, one of the four Inns of Court.

Appointments of Benchers are made after a nomination and selection process which seeks to appoint barristers who have shown ability and distinction in their practice.

The Inner Temple is an unincorporated membership association which has existed since the 14th Century. The Inns of Court hold the exclusive right to call students to practise law at the Bar of England and Wales. The Inner Temple has a global membership that is ever progressive in strengthening and promoting the rule of law and a vibrant, diverse, legal community. It is dedicated to attracting the best candidates to the Bar and ensuring that everyone, at each stage of their career, has access to excellent education and training resources so they can develop and thrive.

Tom has undertaken activities for the Inn for several years and now looks forward to continuing working on behalf of the Inn as a Bencher assisting with the wide range of activities it undertakes.
