Welwyn Hatfield local plan examination opens

The Inspector (Mr Melvyn Middleton BA(Econ), DipTP DipMgmt) has opened the hearings in relation to the Welwyn Hatfield Local Plan. Yesterday the inspector heard submissions on legal compliance and the duty to co-operate, and is considering those submissions.
Stage 2 hearings concerning the housing need and spatial strategy are scheduled to start on 24 October 2017.
