Today the Chancery Lane Project will publish the Climate Contract Playbook and Green Paper for Model Laws, a suite of contracts and laws that will help lawyers around the world fight climate change.

The clauses and model laws are the result of a collective pro bono effort by lawyers from different areas of law who are passionate about fighting climate change.

Estelle Dehon is one of the founding members of the Steering Group of the Chancery Lane Project. She was a facilitator at the Chancery Lane Project ‘Legal Hackathon’, during Pro Bono Week in November 2019, at which 120 legal professionals collaborated to draft the contractual clauses and model laws that now form the Climate Contract Playbook and Green Paper for Model Laws.

The Chancery Lane Project is a pro bono initiative that brings legal professionals together to collaborate and rewrite contracts and laws in order to support communities and businesses in fighting climate change and achieving net zero carbon emissions. The Chancery Lane Project is independent of any professional body or practice and is politically neutral.
