Estelle Dehon Appointed to European Commission Expert Group on the GDPR

Cornerstone Barristers is pleased to announce that Estelle Dehon has been appointed as a member of the European Commission’s Expert Group on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), to support the implementation of the new data protection regime across Europe.
The Multistakeholder Expert Group will assist the Commission in identifying and addressing potential challenges in implementing the GDPR and will provide advice about national legislation enacting the Regulation. It will also support the Commission with raising awareness about the new data protection regime.
Estelle is one of only two legal practitioners appointed to the 27-member group, which was recruited across all European Member States. Estelle said: “I am delighted to be appointed to this privileged position and am looking forward to the new insights into the GDPR that this role will provide.”
Estelle advises individuals and organisations on data protection matters, including compliance with the GDPR, and is a lead trainer for a professional data protection qualification.
