Tackling tenancy fraud: the law and practice of sub-letting and non-occupation claims

This seminar is aimed at social landlords and their representatives and will consider the legal and practical issues to which sub-letting or parting with possession of social housing give rise.  In particular,  Peggy Etiebet and Ruchi Parekh from the Cornerstone Housing Team, will be covering key issues including:

• security of tenure and tenancy termination;
• the investigation of suspected sub-letting and ‘only or principal home’ cases;
• legal remedies, including repossession and the recovery of unlawful profits;
• maximising prospects of success in sub-letting and ‘only or principal home’ repossessions
