This webinar is for anyone who has a planning appeal and wants to know the latest from PINS as to what they are doing to keep appeals moving or has High Court litigation particularly in the Planning Court.

Drawing on their recent experience, Richard Ground QC and Ben Du Feu will provide tips on how to prepared and conduct remote Planning Court hearings. Dr Ashley Bowes will give an update on the likely form and structure of remote planning appeal hearings.

Ashley sits on the Planning Bar Association’s Technical Working Group on the Use of Video Technology and so is particularly well placed to provide an update as to what PINS are doing to keep appeals moving particularly hearings and inquiries.

On 24 March 2020, Richard and Ben appeared in one of the first remote substantive hearings in the Planning Court. The case was heard by Lang J and concerned the proper approach to the allocation of local green space in development plans. Judgment was reserved.
