Asitha successfully represented the Metropolitan Police in summary review proceedings in August 2014 which led to the revocation of the licence for pub premises following a serious assault. The premises then sought unsuccessfully to challenge the police’s decision to initiate summary review proceedings arguing principally that for premises to be associated with serious crime there had to be more than one incident. Asitha was led by Philip Kolvin QC in the High Court proceedings.
