Licensing

This was an appeal against the Council’s decision to revoke the licence at premises known as The Saigon Eagle Off-Licence following a review brought by Trading Standards. The Bench at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court heard evidence of the seizure of counterfeit goods at the premises as well as a failed test purchase. The issue was the extent to which the premises had not been to blame for purchasing the goods and had transformed its operation with respect to underage sales. The appeal was dismissed and the Council awarded its costs.
