James Findlay QC appointed Queen's Counsel in Scotland

James Findlay QC has been appointed Queen's Counsel in Scotland. He is now Queen's Counsel in both England and Scotland, having been appointed Queen's Counsel in England in 2008.

He has practised in Scotland since 2009, with a particular focus on planning and environment law. He has appeared in Tesco v Dundee, Uprichard v Scottish Ministers and Trump v Scottish Ministers, all of which were in the Supreme Court.  He is currently seeking permission from the Supreme Court to appeal the Inner House decision in RSPB v Scottish Ministers.

James continues to practise in England and Wales and recently appeared for Reigate Borough Council in the succesful challenge of a planning inspector's decision.
