This case involves a challenge to the Council’s decision to grant planning permission for a Crematorium in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire.
The challenge is brought by a company which was granted permission for a crematorium in March within the same administrative area.
The grounds of the claim are based on misdirections of planning policy, the failure to take account of need, and failure to give reasons.
Asitha is instructed to defend the Council’s decision and is led by James Findlay QC.
Permission to bring proceedings has recently been refused but is proceeding to an oral hearing in March 2012.
