Saint Event Services Ltd. v LB Islington (Club Reina, Clerkenwell)

Represented LB Islington in an appeal against its decision to reduce the hours of operation of Club Reina (to 0300hrs) and impose conditions following a review brought by the Met Police.
Club Reina was a nightclub/restaurant with a 24hr licence (capacity 255) located on Charterhouse St, close to Fabric nightclub in the Council’s cumulative impact area.
The review considered violent incidents both inside and around the premises. The appeal was eventually negotiated at Court and endorsed by DJ Williams with a last entry of 0100hrs, a variation in hours to require closure between 0300-0500hrs, and payment of the Council’s costs.
