First Appeal permitted for co-living scheme
Richard Ground QC was instructed by Savills to appear for the appellant at the hearing of this first successful co-living appeal.
This was a 121 unit scheme in Feltham. Co-living is a new form of housing with generous shared living space which promotes sociability amongst residents.
There is a policy in the emerging soon to be adopted London Plan H16 that expressly sets out criteria for co-living schemes.
The Inspector found that the proposal complied fully with Policy H16 in the soon to be adopted emerging London Plan.
This policy he found should be given almost full weight. He found the shared accommodation was more than adequate and the standard of accommodation to be provided would be of good quality and design.
